hoarded gold, it would be

Circadian Creation: Admit

Sometimes...there is nothing to admit.

Circadian Creation: Plant

Circadian Creation: Puff

So, a boy and I have (okay, fine, the boy) started (he came up with the brilliant idea, actually) a daily creation based on a topic that we choose alternately. I'm looking forward to this forced yet fun creative outlet. Stess free, any media, any amount of time, just taking that time out each day to use that creative part of us without deadlines or projects or lofty goals. I just love the idea!

So, first day....I choked and didn't even do one. BUT I did have a few good excuses. Busy at work (so no time there), car got towed (= drained and not the best of moods), and excruciatingly tired. Excuses suck but it's a day late but done...PUFF

Anti-V Day

So, I am not a fan of Valentine's Day. Regardless of whether I'm in or out of love and/or lust or in our out of a relationship (in one now, thanks). It's a pretty lame holiday, you never get the day off from work, and it sets out to make normal, happy, single people feel like lepers. But, gotta enjoy the chocolate coated carmel heart that a coworker left on my desk. That's always a good thing. :)

By the way, winter came back and it was glorious and magical and finally we had a huge snowstorm (honestly, I thought it was a little weak - a three footer would have really done the trick) that brought back a little of what winter is supposed to be about. So now keeping warm with my yummylicious scarf and space heater by my desk which just blows the hot air at me and keeps me oh so comfy warm.

I haven't had much to say lately. Nor have I been able to do anything creative. I hate these little periods. BORING is the major word of the day/week. Yuck.

BUT last week we took a fun old trip to North Carolina and Virginia and Tennessee and Georgia and South Carolina and it was a good, relaxing, fun time and we checked out Asheville (which we both dig) and here are some more pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kyradk/

PHOTO FRIDAY - Blur

She shadow danced with the grey figures of the night,
with the animals that lurked in the dark,
with those that touched the ballerina
lingering in her soul.

Climbing

Had a great trip - Asheville, NC and other areas in the mountains, then down to Savannah, GA... More later, but saw this wonderful quote and thought I'd share it.

After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb. I have taken a moment here to rest, to steal a view of the glorious vista that surrounds me, to look back on the distance I have come. But I can rest only for a moment, for with freedom comes responsibilities, and I dare not linger, for my long walk is not yet ended.

Tales of a Dreamer

I’m filled with such an odd feeling today. It’s feels like I’m standing on the precipice of peace. Does this make sense? I feel like everything is about to make sense and work out. I feel like the plans that D and I are making are on their way to a real fruition now and that it’s all going to work out perfectly. Those of you who know me know that that is not my usual thought pattern. Ha ha. So things are moving more slowly than we had planned, which at times is frustrating as hell, but maybe it’s so that we can do it right and do it so it works. That’s what I think.

I’m just excited to be somewhere new and start this new chapter of my life that’s so different and exciting and real. AND it’s one in which we will be teaching each other and supporting each other in actually following our so-called dreams and doing what makes us happy, instead of just being part of the rat race that has too high a place in our lives right now. And hopefully feeding off and feeding to other people as well.

Ahhh, and of course then I have these way out ideas, some of which may happen and some of which may not. Ideas like the wonderful co-op that we either join/help start/help run/etc., our awesome garden so that we can grow our own veggies (even though neither of us garden – mom? lessons?), our barn studio with two totally separate spaces – one space for each of us (obviously), our lifestyle that affords us to have only one car, a house that we own, more pets, art all over, new and interesting friends with common interests, wonderful nights watching the stars from our porch minus light pollution and sound pollution, hikes in the mountains, more camping, more exploring, more positive craziness, silkscreening and creating and loving and living.

Okay, I might even vomit now. Or not.
