Rumi

The Morning Wind Spreads
The morning wind spreads its fresh smell.
We must get up and take that in,
that wind that lets us live.
Breathe before it's gone.

ah yes... i too have felt the wind. it was early this morning when mom and riley woke me up in a cacophony of sound-mainly barks and a ring tone of fairy music, but still a cacophony. at which point mother gave me the same advice- enocouraging me to travel bedyond the walls of my bedroom to the experience the outside world. she said, "its supposed to be 63 in NY today" at which point i threw on some light duds- convinced that in the south the weather is warmer... but to my complete surprise and total disappointment it is not. and so i definitly felt the wind, and the chill and the frost over my freshly soaked toes and just froze knowing that- yessiree this sure is some livin' down here. i love life and i reckon life loves me. so i went inside and had a biscuit.
disclaimer: i did not really have a biscuit but thought that was a nice way to end my story and start my morning. and yes i think the dog is about to puke- AGAIN!!!
